Time Out New York Kids "Expectant mother's guide":
They say, "If you're looking for an all-encompassing introduction to the labor and delivery process, RealBirth's 'Comprehensive Childbirth Preparation' class delivers. Rather than focusing on one particular technique or philosophy, instructors provide a detailed account of labor from both physical and emotional perspectives, incorporating several techniques, including those described above. 'Our goal is to give a laboring woman all her options,' says director and founder Erica Lyon. 'Many of our clients are leaning toward either natural childbirth or pain medication, but would like to know all their choices.'"

From The Today Show (March 2007) on our Sibling Preparation Class:
"Using dolls, Realbirth Director Erica Lyon teaches children as young as two and half things they are not supposed to do with newborns and what they can do... All of the moms we spoke with felt their class was worthwhile. As the oldest sister of four it would have been nice to take a class to help me understand what was happening."

The NY Post, (March 2007) calls our Director's book "Required Reading" and says "EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about birth, but were afraid to ask - plus a few things you never wanted to know - are explained with wit and experience in the useful and entertaining The Big Book of Birth by Erica Lyon. I only wish this reassuring, humane and endlessly useful handbook had been in print when my daughter was born."

In Time Out New York Kids (March 2007), Realbirth is cited for their excellent Sibling Preparation Class. A Realbirth mom explains that her son Julian "explained precisely and matter-of-factly where his baby brother would be coming from and what would happen to mommy afterward... he was even reassuring us that he'd be fine."

Big Apple Parent (March 2004) says "Realbirth... is quickly gaining notice. [The Center] prides itself on informing pregnant women about their options in pregnancy and offering postpartum support programs." One mom describes Realbirth as "A relaxed place... a safe haven."

The New York Daily News featured Realbirth in their Thursday Lifestyle section (January 15th, 2004), saying that "Classes at Realbirth are dedicated to helping pregnant women and their partners manage pregnancy, delivery and newborn care."
